Baccarat Bet Types – Odds & House Edge

Understand the three main baccarat bets and their respective house edges before you sit down at a Galaxy77 table

🏦
Banker
1:0.95
House Edge: 1.06%

Betting on the Banker is the mathematically strongest play in baccarat. The house edge is just 1.06% — the lowest of any standard casino bet. A 5% commission applies on Banker wins. If your Banker bet is RM100 and it wins, you receive RM95.

👤
Player
1:1
House Edge: 1.24%

A Player bet pays 1:1 with no commission. The house edge is slightly higher than Banker but still very low compared to most casino games. A solid choice for players who prefer to receive their full winnings without a commission deducted.

🤝
Tie
1:8
House Edge: 14.36%

The Tie pays 8:1 — tempting, but the house edge reaches 14.36%. A tie only occurs in roughly 9.5% of rounds. Galaxy77 offers the Tie bet for players who enjoy high-risk wagers, but it is not recommended as a primary strategy for long-term winnings.

Understanding the Galaxy77 Baccarat Road Map

Road maps are essential tools used by experienced baccarat players to track patterns from previous rounds. Galaxy77 automatically displays 4 types of road maps on every live baccarat table.

Banker (B)
Player (P)
Tie (T)

Big Road — The main road map displaying the sequence of Banker and Player wins by column. Patterns like the "Dragon Tail" (7 consecutive wins) are highly sought after by players.

Bead Road — Results are recorded in a grid of 6 rows from top to bottom, then moving to the next column. The simplest way to follow the latest outcomes in sequence.

Big Eye Road & Small Road — A road map variation that shows whether gameplay patterns are consistent or not – useful for players who follow baccarat trends.

Big Road – Last 60 Rounds Simulation

Baccarat Strategy for Malaysian Players

Baccarat has the lowest house edge in the casino when played with the right strategy. This quick guide from the Galaxy77 team will help you maximise your chances of winning.

Try It at Galaxy77 Now
1
Always Bet on Banker

Statistically, the Banker wins in approximately 51% of rounds. Even with the 5% commission, the Banker's house edge (1.06%) remains lower than the Player's (1.24%) and significantly lower than the Tie (14.36%). This makes it the best long-term strategy.

2
Avoid the Tie Bet

While the Tie payout (8:1) may look tempting, it carries the worst odds in baccarat with a house edge of 14.36%. Galaxy77 offers this bet, but experienced players rarely rely on it as a core strategy.

3
Use a Flat Betting System

Wager the same amount every round — no increasing your bet after a loss and no decreasing it after a win. Flat betting helps you stay in the game longer and reduces the risk of burning through your bankroll quickly.

4
Set Your Win and Loss Limits

Before starting a session, set a win limit (e.g. +RM500) and a loss limit (e.g. -RM300). Stop playing once either limit is reached — this discipline is what separates successful players from those who walk away at a loss.

5
Start at a Low-Limit Table to Learn

Galaxy77 offers Mini Baccarat and RNG Baccarat with bet limits starting from RM1 to RM10. Use these tables to get comfortable with the game pace, reading road maps, and managing your emotions before moving up to higher-limit tables.

6
Understand That No System Is Perfect

The Martingale, Fibonacci, and Paroli systems can serve as bankroll management guides, but none of them can overcome the house edge in baccarat. Play for entertainment, manage your bankroll wisely, and enjoy the game at Galaxy77.

Galaxy77 Baccarat Side Bets

Side bets add an extra layer of excitement and additional winning opportunities to every baccarat round

Player Pair
Pays 11:1

Bet that the Player's first two cards will form a pair. Occurs in approximately 7.47% of rounds — pays 11:1 with a house edge of around 10.36%.

Banker Pair
Pays 11:1

A bet that the Banker's first two cards will form a pair. Similar to Player Pair — it occurs in 7.47% of rounds and pays 11:1.

Either Pair
Pays 5:1

Wins if either the Banker or Player (or both) receives a pair — higher odds than a single pair bet, paying 5:1.

Natural 9
Pays 8:1

Bet on your chosen side to land a Natural 9 (two cards totalling exactly 9) — the highest possible win in standard baccarat without needing a third card.

Natural Win
Pays 1:1

Bet on the winner winning with a Natural (8 or 9 from the first two cards) — occurs more frequently and is safer than betting on Natural 9 alone.

Perfect Pair
Pays 25:1

A stricter variation than usual — the first two cards must form a suited pair, not just a value match. Pays 25:1 for this rare occurrence.

Super 6
Pays 12:1

Wins when the Banker wins with an exact hand value of 6. On some Super 6 tables, the Banker commission is reduced to zero as a trade-off. A compelling variation available at Galaxy77.

Lucky Bonus
Pays 1:1 – 30:1

An exclusive Galaxy77 side bet — based on the point difference between the winning and losing hand. The bigger the gap, the higher the payout, up to 30:1 for a 9-point difference.

Online Baccarat at Galaxy77 – Malaysia's Most Elegant Card Game

Baccarat is one of the oldest and most respected casino games in the world. Originating in Italy in the 15th century, it spread to France before becoming enormously popular across Asia – particularly among Malaysian and Chinese players. Unlike games that demand complex decisions every round, baccarat is easy to pick up yet carries its own strategic depth, making it the top choice at Galaxy77 for players of all levels.

The objective in baccarat is straightforward – you bet on whether the Banker hand or the Player hand will come closest to 9. Card values follow a unique system: cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, while 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth zero, and Aces count as 1. If the total of two cards exceeds 9, the first digit is dropped – for example, 7 + 8 = 15 becomes 5. This is why baccarat is known as a game that requires no complex arithmetic.

Galaxy77 understands that Malaysian players have different needs. Some prefer playing at a live dealer table with a real female dealer from an HD studio — enjoying a premium casino atmosphere from the comfort of home. Others prefer going solo without distractions using RNG Baccarat, where rounds take just 5 seconds. And VIP players looking for an exclusive experience with high bet limits and premium service are equally catered for. Galaxy77 brings all of these under one easily accessible platform.

One of the most popular features among Malaysian baccarat players at Galaxy77 is the complete, automatically displayed road map. A road map is a graphical record of past round results that helps players identify game patterns. Galaxy77 automatically displays all four standard road maps — Big Road, Bead Road, Big Eye Road, and Small Road — on every live baccarat table, with no manual request needed. While mathematically each round is independent and unaffected by previous outcomes, many Malaysian players find that road map analysis adds an enjoyable dimension to their game.

For players just getting started with baccarat, Galaxy77 offers a very beginner-friendly learning path. Begin with RNG Baccarat at RM1 bets to understand the basic rules without the pressure of high stakes. Then try live Mini Baccarat with a RM10 minimum to get a feel for a real dealer's pace and how to read road maps. After a few sessions, you can move up to a standard RM20 minimum table, and when you're comfortable, explore Speed Baccarat or even side bets like Banker Pair and Perfect Pair that offer higher payouts.

When it comes to transaction convenience, Galaxy77 ensures a smooth deposit and withdrawal experience for Malaysian players. All major local payment methods are supported — Touch 'n Go eWallet, DuitNow, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, and FPX via Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks. Deposits are processed within 30 seconds, and winnings can be withdrawn to a bank account or e-wallet within 1 to 3 hours. This convenience, combined with the transparency of live dealer gameplay and a wide selection of variants, makes Galaxy77 the top online baccarat destination for Malaysian players today. Register now and try our baccarat tables free as a new player.
